Just who are we? We are your neighbors, of course
We are business and professional women and men who
come together from all sorts of endeavors to serve
the community where we live. Chartered May 18, 1937,
weve been championing a variety of projects
for community betterment for 73 years, now.
And, we are your neighbors on an international level,
as well.
Our club is a part of the much larger Pilot International
organization founded in 1921 in Macon, GA. Through
Pilot International, our community focus
has become one of working with brain-related disorders:
Prevention of brain
injury Our BrainMindersTM
training program was originally developed for children
preschool through primary grades. Its been
presented to thousands of children, including at
least a few hundred here in the Triad.
Assistance for
victims of brain disorders
We actively support a variety of local projects
ranging from serving meals to exceptional needs
residents of a sheltered home environment, to placing
life skills training equipment into a special education
classroom.
Education, Research & Development
Locally, we fund annual scholarships to those
who aspire to work in brain-related fields. Our
scholarships have helped to place trained professionals
in areas such as special education, as physical,
occupational and music therapy, and health services.
We hope youll visit us often. We gladly welcome
new members with a heart to serve others. Please
